All-Star Game: Brian Wilson makes his pitch for Carlos Beltran

San Francisco Giants reliever Brian Wilson likes challenging batters. He’s a pitcher, so that’s a given. He likes facial hair. That’s apparent. He likes the cool cleats — they feature his face — he wore in the All-Star Game, won by the National League on Tuesday night.

As he introduced the NL lineup for Fox, he waxed on: “Carlos Beltran, the guy's a phenomenal hitter, a switch hitter. There’s talks of him coming over to the Giants. More than welcome. Come on over, pal.”

In the locker room after he retired Paul Konerko and saved the win for the Nationals’ Tyler Clippard, he was still talking about Beltran.
