After dating for over 5 years … Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are now married!
The pair tied the knot over the weekend (Sat. Jul 16) in a surprise ceremony, held at a remote tropical island in front of a small group of 35 friends and family. The couple didn’t even tell their guests what was in store once they arrived on the island.
“Nobody knew where they were going,” Minnillo, who used to work as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and was once engaged to football player Derek Jeter , said.
“Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket,” Lachey, who is a former member of the R&B/Pop group and was previously married to Jessica Simpson, added. “We told them they were going away and the attire was ‘island chic.’ It was all very vague.”(wedding invitations)
According to the Daily Mail, as she walked down the aisle, Vanessa wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier outfit featuring an intricately embellished lace corset with rose and crystal detail, paired with a signature hand tufted skirt made of silk faille … while Nick, who currently hosts NBC game show “The Sing-Off,” rocked a Dolce & Gabanna suit.
